Thank you Prof. The article on World Class Universities is exceptionally useful. It was written very well, and I hope Nigeria will listen. We have 95 Universities at the moment, but only three are among the top 100 in Africa. The highest rated Nigerian University in that top 100 list is around the 35th. This is a real worry.

Dear Prof. Sawahel,

Thank you for sharing this precious information. I think this information about the ranking of universities in the Islamic World is worthy to be zoomed and studied in detail to find out our educational problems. However, I also suggest collecting information about the Arabic and Muslim scientists around the world and trying to introduce them to this valuable work. This will be a good step to organize International meetings in the Islamic countries to present these countries to the world. We also need a kind of union that provide Muslim students and researchers with funds and resources. I realize there are many organizations like the IDB, but we need one window that manages all the organizations under the same set of goals and visions.

Wish you always the best and may Allah reward you for this work.

I am writing you as one of the professors of Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. I have received your message announcing the bulletin "Achieving Excellence in S&T Higher Education". The bulletin made me excited so much, since I have been thinking of how we can maintain the best brains in our countries. Our best students after finishing with 4.00 GPA go to USA and EU, very small fraction of those return back to the country just to struggle with many problems to work on their research. However, we should be able to attract the best ones. To do this the only way possible is to establish excellence centers and strong networking with the universities and institutes of developed countries.
